Military Veterans
The Struckmann Foundation is committed to the welfare of those serving in the military and their families.
We live in a great country and have great respect for our service men and women, those who serve their country and in so doing risk their lives and health. Unfortunately, once they are wounded or their service to their country has ended, they are left to their own devices to get by, the Veterans Administration often falling far short of what these men and women and their families need.
As a former soldier, I find it appalling that families of wounded veterans have to sell their homes and other possessions to give their loved ones the medical care they need because the government is not able or unwilling to do so. Tino Struckmann, Founder
The Struckmann Foundation:
It is our duty to take care of those who have served to protect us; there can be no question of that. It is the foundation’s goal to raise funds for wounded veterans and their families, and for the families of those veterans who have lost their lives in the service of their country. Whether it is something as simple as a ticket to fly out to see their wounded loved ones in far away hospitals, or help to keep their homes due to financial hardship endured as a result of caring for their wounded family members, or the ability to financially survive the transition after losing a loved one, the foundation will seek to be of assistance. It is not only the foundation’s duty to raise awareness of short comings and attempt to change government policies in order to help those in need and left behind. It is our duty as a nation.
Law Enforcement:
Every day in this country peace officers – whether they are sheriffs, cops, marshal’s, border patrol, or DEA agents – put their lives on the line for our safety. Yet, when they are wounded and unable to return to work, or when they are killed in the line of duty, their families often receive far too little assistance. It is these officers and their families for whom we will be making provision.
The Struckmann Foundation will seek to:
» Augment the assistance peace officers receive from their unions, departments and agencies when they are wounded.
» Augment the assistance the families of peace officers receive from their unions, departments, and agencies when they are killed.
» Create a scholarship program for peace officers wounded in the line of duty and unable to return to their jobs so they can access retraining.
» Create a scholarship program for the children and spouses of peace officers wounded or killed in the line of duty in order to enhance their » possibilities in life.
